Busy Day Exploring Kosovo Wood Industry Potential 6 May 2015

Palma Company in Gjilan/Gnjilane is one of the biggest furniture retailers in Kosovo. Palma has three showrooms in Kosovo with a fourth one under way, and another showroom in Switzerland. Palma is now taking the next step by launching production of their own brand of furniture. This means import substitution and up to 45 new jobs in the first year only.
In Ferizaj/Uroševac we met with upholstery producer Sela Impeks. This company is looking to expand operations by increasing the production quantity and introducing new products. Sela Impeks is present across Kosovo, and think the time is right for them to establish a presence in the regional and EU markets.
Tefik Çanga, another large furniture production company in Ferizaj/Uroševac, is working on launching a new product. They have already signed a contract with a German company for this new product, which means that soon Tefik Çanga will start selling in the EU market.
