Making Youth Employable for the Wood Processing Sector

On September 18, 2015 Association of Wood Processors of Kosovo (AWPK) with the support of USAID’s EMPOWER Private Sector started a three-month internship program in the wood processing sector for 40 individuals. The young people who will be part of this internship program will be placed in wood processing companies to acquire practical training in design, production operations, sales/marketing, and business administration. This internship program is designed to provide unemployed youth with an opportunity to complement theoretical learning with practical expertise, thus become more employable.
